Green Opening Times

Generally the green is available to use each day after 10.00 am, once the green keeper has completed his tasks. However, if the green keeper needs unplanned access to the green after 10.00 am, he takes precedence over members

Informal Roll-Ups: Flat Green bowls are played on the green during the summer and members can use the green for a roll up at any time other than when the rinks are in use for inter club matches. Wednesday afternoon is a particularly popular time for 'roll-ups' with both full and social members participating. It offers an opportunity for some support and guidance from more experienced players and a chance to improve your skills.

Refreshments are available for a small fee and a selection of bar items is kept in the fridge and available for purchase.

Visitors and Social Members: Guests and social members may play at the club for a green fee of £2.00, but they are not entitled to play in matches. Guests must sign the Visitors Book to be covered by the club insurance. They must wear appropriate flat soled shoes on the green. All full members have keys to the club, enabling them to practise on the green except when inter-club matches are in progress.

Rink Bookings: Rinks can be booked in advance and this is advisable when playing in competitions.

Green Preparation: Before play, the rinks should be swished by players to remove dew and worm-casts.
