As the National Governing Body for the sport of flat green bowls, Bowls England is responsible for promoting good governance at all levels. FGBC follows their guidelines and in respect of the following:
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: Bowls England commits to playing its part in ensuring that the sport is truly inclusive. A new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy was approved in May 2022. Transgender Policy is currently under review.
Safeguarding
Insurance: Appropriate civil and public liability insurance is in place as advised by Bowls England. A copy of the Insurance policy is available at FGBC or can be obtained from the Treasurer.
Privacy Statement
By becoming a member of Farnborough Gate Bowling Club (FGBC) you agree to share your name, address, telephone number(s) and email address with other members of the club so that bowling-related and other information regarding club affairs can be passed quickly and efficiently to all members.
The above information will be held in hard copy and electronically by the Treasurer of FGBC and will not be provided to any person or organisation outside the club.
If you do not wish your personal information, as listed above, to be shared with other members of the club, please inform the Treasurer of this as soon as possible by letter or email, which must include your full name and address. It should be noted that in the absence of such communication, your name and telephone number(s) will be listed and made available to all members so that competition matches can be arranged by telephone between you and other members and that these lists will be available to members one month after Signing-on Day. Please note that where members opt out, the above information will remain visible to Committee Members, but you may not receive information that is disseminated by post, telephone or email.
If you leave the club, your personal data will be removed from electronic files as quickly as possible.
